Deepfakes in the 2020 election

This video suggests that deepfakes will be used in the 2020 election and could dramatically influence the results. While I do believe that deepfakes will be used, I disagree with the fact that they could sway votes. I think that the creator of this video does not properly reflect on people’s ability to identify deepfakes. People are very good at identify fake items, whether it’s a video, article or newsfeed. Fake content surrounds our world today and I think that people are very good at identifying which are true and which are false. Then, they use this information to form opinions of their own.
