Best Place for a Photoshop Image

This Doritos Super Bowl commercial features Lil Nas X and Sam Elliott in an old western setting. It uses one of the most popular songs of the year, Old Town Road. Surely photoshop and video editing were used throughout this commercial, as I’m that they did not recreate a town from the past and somehow get the horse of Lil Nas X to dance with him. The commercial did a good job grasping the viewers attention with an interesting concept, good editing and a different storyline.
This video suggests that deepfakes will be used in the 2020 election and could dramatically influence the results. While I do believe that deepfakes will be used, I disagree with the fact that they could sway votes. I think that the creator of this video does not properly reflect on people’s ability to identify deepfakes. People are very good at identify fake items, whether it’s a video, article or newsfeed. Fake content surrounds our world today and I think that people are very good at identifying which are true and which are false. Then, they use this information to form opinions of their own. To find out more about how deepfakes could be used in the upcoming election you can also read an article from CNBC found here.
Famous people are often used as the source of entertainment in all types of media. Many times, it can be difficult to grasp the true meaning behind certain videos, posts and pictures. In this video featuring Greta Thunberg, it is very difficult to tell if she is being mocked or praise. Personally, I believe this video of Greta is simply being used for views on YouTube. Greta has a very intense personality, so a voiceover with death metal is nearly a perfect fit. I don’t believe this video has any deeper meaning than simply being used for views and entertainment. To learn more about Greta Thunberg, you can read an article by Time Magazine found here.
